Ocean Operations Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking an Ocean Operations Associate to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As an Ocean Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' logistics goals and building the next operational model at Flexport.

Responsibilities

• Execute booking and documentation processes with clients and carriers
• Troubleshoot and escalate shipment exceptions in a timely manner
• Collaborate with Flexport's Account Management and Planning teams to ensure effective end-to-end export processes
• Coach junior specialists on daily tasks
• Plan and execute special freight operations (e.g., DG, reefer)
• Assist Senior Associates with new business/process implementation, projects, and tasks
• Provide expertise to internal and external clients to inform their decision-making
• Uphold high operational quality and service standards, guided by company values
• Identify business process and software capability needs to support team growth and improvement
• Contribute to the development and implementation of procedures and systems to differentiate Flexport's operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting (ocean freight knowledge is a plus)
