Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department's specific requirements and standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and striving to anticipate patient needs
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures
• Educate patients on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes

Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• 1 year of experience required
