Senior Authorised Person (HV SAP) - Solar/BESS EPC

Fuse Energy is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to lead and oversee high-voltage (HV) operational, commissioning, and safety activities across electrical infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient energisation and network operation.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, executing, and overseeing HV switching schedules
• Issuing safety documentation
• Ensuring strict adherence to HV safety procedures
• Acting as the authorised point of control for HV systems and switching activities
• Performing and witnessing pre-commissioning, testing, inspection, and commissioning of HV/LV equipment
• Managing fault location, diagnostics, and repair activities
• Developing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments, and safety procedures
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff

Requirements:

• Current or recent Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation (minimum 33kV, ideally up to 132kV)
• HNC, Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years' experience in HV/LV operations, commissioning, or substation delivery within the utilities sector
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV networks, including cables, protection systems, and SCADA
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing
• Experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and outage planning
• Strong understanding of Distribution Safety Rules, HSE legislation, and regulatory frameworks
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification
