About the Company and Role
Climate Action is a commercial business founded in 2007, working at the intersection of climate change policy, innovation, and finance. It has a global membership of 140,000 and partners with 1,000 impact partners, UN Agencies, and private sector companies.
As a Senior Conference Producer, you will own the creation and delivery of high-impact events, shaping content, agendas, and programmes that align with the climate agenda. These events aim to bring together decision-makers and policy experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the full production lifecycle of events aligned with the climate agenda
- Create a compelling event value proposition to attract high-level speakers, sponsors, key partners, and the target audience
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitor landscapes, and industry challenges, and translate this research into commercially attractive agendas
- Ensure a timely delivery of events, with accurate milestone tracking, that achieve set KPIs/goals
- Support the Commercial team by coordinating sponsorship participation, and establishing content and speaker inventories to support revenue targets
- Design and implement strategies for audience acquisition and engagement
- Work with marketing to keep event websites up to date with speakers, partners, sessions, and key information
- Write promotional copy for marketing campaigns and editorial content
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in creating, managing, and delivering international B2B conferences funded by sponsorship and delegate or membership revenue streams; ideally in sustainability, climate change, energy, or agriculture
- Events, by nature, are fast-paced, high-pressure environments, so you are someone who can adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities with ease
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organised; able to work independently to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives
- Experience in a single market sector, including evidence of strong relationships with key players across the industry, such as sustainable innovation, energy transition, investment, hydrogen, supply chains, and climate policy
