Daytime Neonatal ICU/Perinatal Nurse - (9a-6p EST)

Job Overview

Pomelo Care is seeking a Daytime Neonatal ICU/Perinatal Nurse to join our team. As a NICU/Perinatal Nurse at Pomelo, you will provide virtual support to supplement in-person care for NICU patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide and facilitate amazing patient-centered clinical care to NICU patients and their families
• Coordinate holistic family support by connecting parents to dedicated specialists, resource partners, and pediatric providers
• Conduct ongoing clinical and psychosocial assessments of new patients
• Establish individualized care plans to meet specific health needs
• Develop wellness goals and determine motivating factors for best possible health outcomes
• Identify and address barriers to care
• Reduce care gaps through frequent engagements with patients
• Assess the need for and educate patients on remote health monitoring equipment
• Respond to abnormal diagnostic results and assess urgent concerns
• Document all care interactions and escalate to multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Support the development of programs and products

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, BSN prepared, current unrestricted multi-state (compact) license
• 4+ years recent experience in a hospital and/or healthcare practice, serving maternal-child health populations
• Minimum 1 year in NICU and 1 year in labor and delivery/postpartum or Antepartum
• Growth mindset with ability to approach process change and ambiguous situations with enthusiasm and accountability
• Ability to work remotely via video, phone, and text
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work weekends and holidays
• Understanding of birth inequity and structural racism's role in maternal morbidity and mortality

Nice to Have

• Experience working with perinatal patients with pregnancy-related diseases
• Experience providing virtual care
• Spanish fluency
