Electrical Harness Design Engineer

As an Electrical Harness Design Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise to design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems. You will investigate, plan, design, and develop harnesses to meet various technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems
• Represent the harness discipline on a project
• Investigate, plan, design, and develop harnesses to meet technical requirements
• Research, select, and procure connectors, back-shells, contacts, wire, shielding, and cable construction
• Develop and generate harness system block diagrams and wire diagrams
• Participate in design reviews and provide input
• Prepare harness assembly instructions and test procedures
• Provide guidance to the electrical team
• Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments and deployments
• Manage multiple projects at various stages

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged applications
• Experience working with harness manufacturers
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and interconnect systems
• Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces
• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• Eligible to receive a US Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D CAD wire harness routing
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC principles
• Ability to read and generate formboard drawings
