A Deployment Strategist at Palantir works as part of a driven and creative team to deploy software against complex problems. They synthesise disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the most important problem is, what the data means, what the product needs, and where the impact could be.
Key responsibilities include:
- Going onsite to meet with customer analysts to understand their critical questions and pain points
- Identifying relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows
- Working with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline
- Building bespoke workflows for new user groups
- Leading training sessions to ensure the product meets user needs
- Presenting results and proposals to various audiences
The ideal candidate has extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems, is adaptive and introspective, and has low ego. They should be able to travel 25-75% of the time and have experience with programming, scripting, or statistical packages.
