Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
You will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease. You will utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards, document client information, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them if necessary.
You will educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home. You will demonstrate knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents.
You will treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders, demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines, and meet all regulatory requirements. You will follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organizations.
You will exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments, participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health, and interact with individuals outside of the department.
You will be responsible for supervising assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services, and provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership.
Based on facility needs and assigned locations, you may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments.
