Description
We are seeking a Production Operator to join our team at Multimatic in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, operating various production machinery and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate drilling, riveting, staking, tapping, welding, and other production machinery, either automatic or manually operated as assigned.
- Utilize checking fixtures and measuring and gauging equipment to test and determine compliance to customer requirements.
- Count and label finished components and record all relevant production information.
- Ensure accurate information is entered into the inventory system.
- Record trends on appropriate forms, such as lot control forms and production reports.
- Check assemblies against fixtures, gauges, tools, or visual inspection aids as outlined in the CP.
- Identify any concerns related to productivity, quality, or safety.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including tip changes, tool changes, and equipment setup.
- Conduct finished goods inspections as per the control plan and operator instructions.
- Halt operations and inform the leadhand or supervisor in the event of nonconformance.
- Ensure non-conform material is identified with a reject tag or placed in the reject container.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and machinery at all times.
- Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable.
Basic Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Detail-oriented.
The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $21.14 - $30.19
