Description

The Host Communications Channels Lead will execute the day-to-day operations within Airbnb’s central learning and communication platforms for over 5 million Hosts worldwide. In this role, you’ll operate and optimize content management systems and internal content workflows for host in-app messaging, email, and the Resource Center.

A typical day in this role will involve building, QA, and deploying content, managing scheduling and audience segmentation to ensure accurate and timely delivery. You will also own end-to-end technical development and execution of email campaign operations, from intake through send, ensuring accuracy and alignment with standards.

This role requires a structured, process-oriented approach, attention to detail, and experience collaborating with both technical and creative teams. Your operational expertise will help deliver meaningful learning experiences for hosts while supporting Airbnb's broader communications goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building, QA, and deploying content, managing scheduling and audience segmentation to ensure accurate and timely delivery
  • Owning end-to-end technical development and execution of email campaign operations, from intake through send, ensuring accuracy and alignment with standards
  • Configuring and publishing in-app messaging using reusable modules and personalization tools to deliver targeted host communications
  • Maintaining content standards, taxonomy, and workflows to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality
  • Partnering with global teams to localize and manage content at scale
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and best practices to support internal teams and content creators in using content management systems effectively
  • Contributing requirements and operational feedback to inform the development of scalable features that align with business goals
  • Supporting feature development by BizTech, MarTech, and Engineering with operational expertise and testing support
  • Monitoring channel performance through data and insights, flagging opportunities to optimize user experience and support community-building initiatives
  • Collaborating with Learning and UX teams to ensure modules are intuitive, engaging, and adaptable to evolving Host needs
  • Sharing and suggesting emerging tools and contributing ideas to improve channel operations to expand our impact on the host community
  • Managing comprehensive campaign operations and execution across multiple simultaneous releases, maintaining high standards for precision, efficiency, and brand alignment

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on content management in large-scale digital platforms, including managing, delivering, and optimizing content to create seamless user experiences. They will also have experience analyzing and improving publishing workflows and campaign operations, as well as working cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, and data teams.
