Supervisor, Fraud Investigations

As the Supervisor of Fraud Investigations at Airbnb, you will lead a team of fraud investigators and oversee the end-to-end fraud investigation process.

You will play a vital leadership role in safeguarding the integrity of Airbnb's AirCover platform by effectively identifying, investigating, and mitigating instances of fraudulent AirCover claims.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of Fraud Investigators with care and empathy
• Taking ownership of the team's quality, accuracy, and metrics performance
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to manage emerging risks and threats
• Proactively looking for new capabilities to collect, analyze, and disseminate actionable risk intelligence
• Developing the knowledge and expertise of the Fraud Investigation team
• Providing oversight of team performance and communication with internal partners
• Guiding and directing the team on specific complex fraud investigations
• Developing and implementing effective strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent AirCover claims
• Collaborating with internal departments to share fraud-related insights and improve fraud prevention measures
• Utilizing data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activities
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presenting findings to senior management

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years' experience in risk management, preferably in high-tech and/or matrixed global organizations
• 2+ years' experience in a people manager role and a strong track record of leading high-performing teams
• Demonstrated abilities and experience in fast-paced fraud investigations, preferably in the fintech/insurance space
• Thorough knowledge of fraud investigations, intelligence tradecraft, systems, processes, and governance
• Strong metrics-based performance management and coaching skills

We offer a competitive salary range of ₹1,370,000-₹1,790,000 INR per year, along with benefits and employee travel credits.
