Description
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centred care in accordance with departmental requirements and professional standards.
In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers
- Document care administration in patient medical records in a timely and thorough manner
- Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures
- Educate patients on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days of employment)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 30 days of employment)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (within 1 year of employment)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate Degree
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 90 days of employment)
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management Aggression (within 6 months of employment)
- 1 year of experience
