Quality Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support our department's internal activities related to part inspection.

Job Summary The successful candidate will perform visual inspections of brake calipers, complete inspection reports, and interact with other department members to improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of brake calipers in accordance with work instructions, inspection standards, and quality requirements.
• Identify and classify defects such as surface damage, casting defects, coating or paint defects, corrosion or contamination, missing or damaged components, and thread damage.
• Verify correct part identification, markings, labels, and traceability information.
• Conduct basic measurements and gauging activities using inspection equipment such as go/no-go gauges, vernier calipers, plug gauges, and thread gauges.
• Accurately record inspection results and quality data.
• Complete inspection reports, check sheets, and production records.
• Maintain traceability of inspected components.

Required Competencies

• Good eyesight (corrected vision acceptable).
• Ability to distinguish small defects and surface imperfections.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in defect detection.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, visual standards, and inspection criteria.
• Knowledge of quality standards and acceptance/rejection criteria.
• Basic literacy skill to input data into spreadsheets.
• Competent in the use of basic inspection and gauging equipment.
• Ability to interpret simple dimensional specifications and tolerances.
• Understanding of gauge care, handling, and calibration requirements.
