Senior Engineer I – Python

As a Senior Engineer I – Python, you will automate manual, repetitive tasks and improve our processes. This is an outstanding opportunity for highly technical and creative individuals. You will work with operations leaders, process owners, and SMEs to define and deploy new automation solutions as well as improve existing ones.

Responsibilities

• Develop Full Life Cycle of Automation Solutions from intake to implementation, following the Reporting Center of Excellence’s standards and governance.
• Review automated solutions with the lead engineer to ensure objectives and guidelines are met.
• Build and review sustainability documentation for each automated process; give team training and professional development.
• Run, maintain, and debug 500+ existing automation processes to ensure consistent, accurate operating rhythm.
• Participate in recurring meetings with business collaborators to provide functional and technical support, identifying automation opportunities and process improvements.
• Research and develop code to improve existing automations for faster run times and better sustainability.
• Assist in driving strategic and tactical roll-out of solutions to achieve organizational automation goals.
• Lead the development of automation tools using Python, Power Automate, Co Pilot Studio, and other Agentic Automation tools for large-scale repetitive tasks.
• Review automation code developed by team members, ensuring adherence to guidelines and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the development of skills in Python, Power Automate, automation frameworks, and problem-solving techniques.
• Find opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize existing automations.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into automation workflows where applicable.
• Support proof-of-concept developments for evaluating new tools and frameworks for automation efficiency.
