Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and track services duties at the Kansas Speedway. The successful candidate will operate a variety of equipment, perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance, and assist with fleet management and inventory.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing all preventive maintenance functions, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance/repairs related to building maintenance
• Welding, cutting, and fabricating
• Testing repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency
• Requisitioning parts and equipment with supervisor's approval
• Keeping records and reports
• Providing general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Operating equipment as needed
• Assisting with track preparation, maintenance, and restoration

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, two to four years of related experience, and a valid driver's license in good standing. A flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during race events, is required.
