Description

You will work on automotive IP that powers the next generation of vehicles, and the safety work you do will matter.

Develop and maintain ISO 26262 work products including Technical Safety Concept, FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA, DFA, Safety Plan, and Safety Case for Digital DesignWare IP.

Collaborate with IP development teams and automotive customers to align functional safety deliverables with project timelines and ASIL requirements.

Evaluate customer quality, functional safety, and reliability requirements, translating them into actionable engineering guidance.

Design and implement automation scripts to streamline safety analysis workflows, including FMEDA and fault injection reporting.

Lead quality and functional safety reviews, generating detailed reports with findings and recommendations for design improvements.

Ensure Synopsys Automotive IP meets ISO 26262 compliance and achieves ASIL B, C, and D certification for safety-critical automotive applications.

Accelerate customer time to market by delivering complete, audit-ready safety documentation that reduces integration risk.

Drive measurable improvements in safety process efficiency through automation, reducing manual analysis time across IP families.

Support development of differentiated automotive IP solutions that meet stringent safety demands of ADAS, autonomous driving, and electrification platforms.

Elevate Synopsys' reputation as a trusted partner in automotive safety, strengthening customer confidence and market share.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years.

Formal training and hands-on expertise in ISO 26262 functional safety standards, including direct experience developing safety work products for ASIL B, C, or D applications.

Demonstrated experience with semiconductor development flows and digital design at the IP or SoC level.

Proficiency in English for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.

Proven track record qualifying embedded hardware or hardware/software systems to ISO 26262 ASIL levels, including ASIL D.

Experience with ISO 26262 Part 5, hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL, AEC Q100, or scripting languages such as Python is a plus.
