Description

About the Team

The AI Deployment Engineering team helps developers and enterprises safely deploy OpenAI technologies in production. We work as trusted technical advisors with customers to identify high-value use cases, design practical architectures, and move from prototype to durable deployment.

Cybersecurity is a critical domain where AI can make a significant impact. Security teams face pressure to analyze vast amounts of data quickly. As AI models become more capable, organizations need guidance on evaluating, validating, and safely deploying AI systems in security-critical workflows.

About the Role

We are seeking a Cyber AI Deployment Engineer to collaborate with customers on applying OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows to real cybersecurity use cases. You will work with CISOs, security executives, and technical practitioners to identify where AI can create measurable security outcomes.

This is a customer-facing technical role that requires moving between executive strategy, practitioner-level cyber depth, and hands-on solution design. You will assist customers in evaluating and deploying workflows such as secure code review, vulnerability triage, threat modeling, and incident response workflows.

You will work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Research, and Security to develop safe deployment patterns, reusable field assets, and product feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with strategic customers as the technical lead for AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows.
  • Lead discovery across various cybersecurity use cases, including AppSec, DevSecOps, and vulnerability management.
  • Build and deliver customer-facing demos, prototypes, and reference architectures using OpenAI APIs and tools.
  • Scope pilots with clear success criteria, data requirements, and evaluation methods.
  • Advise customers on safe implementation patterns, including tool use, structured outputs, and guardrails.
  • Translate between CISO-level outcomes and practitioner-level implementation details.
  • Create reusable field assets such as demo narratives, playbooks, and FAQs.
  • Validate and deliver high-signal feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical consulting, solutions engineering, or security architecture experience.
  • Strong cybersecurity domain expertise in areas such as application security, cloud security, or vulnerability management.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with CISOs, CTOs, and highly technical security practitioners.
  • Hands-on experience building prototypes or production systems with APIs, Python or JavaScript, and common security tooling.
  • Understanding of designing AI workflows with retrieval, structured outputs, and guardrails.
  • Comfortable scoping pilots from ambiguous customer pain and defining success metrics.
  • Evidence-first security judgment and ability to validate findings.
  • Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and desire to make the team and customers successful.
