Assistant Manager, Ocean Operations (Gurugram)

About the Role

As an Assistant Manager - Ocean Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating the supply chain operations within the ISC region. Your primary goal will be to drive a first-in-class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on-time performance.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable to achieving the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately
• Be responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) that ensure seamless coordination of day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners
• Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination and escalate issues as needed

Your Team

Your team will seamlessly coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners such as ocean carriers, cartage partner, customs, and warehouses. They will execute the end-to-end movement of freight within a regional network.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of global forwarding or related work experience
• Growth mindset - always looking for ways to improve yourself and your work
• 4+ years of industry experience in Ocean Freight, import compliance, or Warehousing is encouraged
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Exceptional organisational, prioritisation and planning skills, and process improvement in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• Proficient in MS Office or Google apps
