The Senior Engineer, Quality Management Systems will develop the Honda Aircraft Quality Management System (QMS) including identification/resolution of business practice concerns, assuring compliance to AS9100, and assuring compliance to government requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, maintaining, and assuring adherence to the Honda Aircraft Quality Management Policy (QMP) through leadership of the Quality Standardization committee.
- Identifying and resolving issues to improve business practices involving QMS compliance by leading working groups with QMS representatives and subject matter experts.
- Integrating requirements for improvements from internal sources such as AS9100 compliance audits, risk assessments, and regular PDCA, as well as external sources such as normal warranty issues, ADs, government audits and HM audits.
- Strategically leading the development of solutions through guided expert recommendations to business unit QMS representatives while building horizontal consensus across the company.
- Building consensus with all levels of management in the Honda Aircraft business units to determine how to change business operations to improve quality.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related experience, including 2 years of experience at a Honda company. They will also have knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001/AS9100) or Regulatory Quality Systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
