Description
We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer- Search Quality to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in building the retrieval backbone for two worlds: the high-precision context layer for AI agents and the intuitive search experience for people. Your goal will be to deliver instant, accurate, and actionable insight.
In this role, you will own the quality of results for two distinct but deeply connected 'users': the AI Agent and the Human User. You will optimize the retrieval layer that allows Large Language Models (LLMs) to reason over data they weren't trained on, ensuring they have the 'ground truth' needed to synthesize accurate, high-stakes business actions. You will also improve the traditional search experience so employees can find assets and answers through intuitive, high-recall interfaces.
This is a challenging problem that requires balancing traditional keyword-based search with semantic vector search. You will fine-tune ranking models that satisfy both human readability and LLM-ready context. You will also connect the dots across structured SQL tables, unstructured docs, and real-time business metrics.
