Description

We're looking for a Professional Services Engineer to join our team in Athens. As a Professional Services Engineer, you'll work directly with enterprise clients to deliver custom technical solutions that help them get the most out of Workable. This is a technical, customer-facing role that requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and confidently.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy custom integrations tailored to client needs, from requirements gathering through to production
  • Execute data migrations, ensuring the secure and accurate transfer of legacy data into Workable
  • Develop SQL-based custom reports and data visualisations for clients
  • Configure complex, customised feature sets within customer accounts
  • Build and maintain internal tooling, including requirement gathering and technical design documentation

Client & Project Collaboration:

  • Work hand-in-hand with Implementation Managers to ensure smooth client onboarding from sale to go-live
  • Define technical milestones within the broader project plan and give accurate delivery timelines
  • Identify potential technical blockers early and propose practical workarounds
  • Join client calls to translate technical processes into clear business outcomes
  • Document all custom configurations so IMs can support clients post-implementation

Cross-Team Support:

  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for Sales and Implementation teams
  • Provide API consultation and answer technical questions for non-technical colleagues
  • Work with Tech Leads to test and deploy custom solutions to internal standards

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in Python
  • Solid SQL skills and experience working with databases
  • A BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and confidently

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AWS (Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambda)
  • Familiarity with the full SDLC
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Ruby or Ruby on Rails
