Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist in our HASE Technology department.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Providing IT project delivery and assisting project managers with project planning, stakeholder communication, development, testing, release, and more
• Leading or assisting teammates to provide business and technical solutions that meet business needs
• Being accountable for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
• Liaising with other teams, including architects and business stakeholders, to understand and drive the product or service's direction
• Conducting end-to-end system tests, user acceptance tests, and providing support on system implementation
• Ensuring high-quality standards of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
• Preparing project-related documentation and providing support on compliance and audit checking

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of rich hands-on experience in development
• Experience delivering high-quality and complex system solutions
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Proven hands-on experience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Strong understanding of front-end build tools and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and best practices for front-end testing
• Solid experience in CI/CD tools, such as GitHub, Maven, Groovy, Nexus, Jenkins
• Knowledge and experience with distributed systems, micro-service architecture, and APIs
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases
• Knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and tooling)
• Ability to work in an Agile working model
• Strong passion for technology and engineering
