Joining the Site Procurement Operations team, you will lead strategic procurement projects for internal partners across local, regional, national, and European scales.
As a Site Procurement Manager, you will work closely with Amazon's internal teams, colleagues from various procurement profiles, and external suppliers to provide high-value-added solutions for the company. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team within one of our logistics sites, acting as a strategic partner to operational teams.
You will drive continuous improvement, innovation, legal risk prevention, supply risk management, and sustainable development through your procurement activities.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Understand business needs and ensure requirements are justified by analyzing and recommending solutions to the company.
- Manage complex projects with high financial stakes, risks, confidentiality, and tight deadlines across multiple sites.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring high service levels in terms of work scope analysis, supplier negotiations on costs, deadlines, and other key elements for local, regional, national, and European projects.
- Use various applications and systems to provide accurate metrics, reports, and data, including supplier performance indicators.
- Utilize and improve available tools to analyze spending opportunities and risks related to expenses, categories, suppliers, and legal aspects.
- Lead the Site Procurement Operations process from need detection and definition to contract implementation and follow-up, using Coupa (ERP) and other tools.
- Conduct complex RFIs and RFQs across multiple sites, business units, and potentially several countries.
- Create and execute contractual agreements such as Work Orders and Master Supply Agreements, ensuring supplier contractual compliance.
- Manage contracts end-to-end, mastering Contract Life Management (CLM).
- Execute and support national and European procurement projects (tendering, cost optimization, sustainability, process improvement, etc.), collaborating proactively with other Global Procurement teams, such as Category teams, and working in partnership with Finance.
- Manage and ensure supplier performance governance to guarantee high service levels in terms of deadlines, quality, and maintenance, and monitor contracts.
- Lead and support MBR/QBR when required and according to agreements with the Supplier Management pillar and Categories.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a local category to identify and seize savings opportunities, conduct spending analyses, and support strategy definition for the national network.
- Generate additional monetary value by using more complex cost/revenue management levers (operational savings, revenue generation, guarantees, long-term contracts).
- Achieve targeted key performance indicators (KPIs) to create value for the company, such as savings, financial metrics, sustainability, and maintain compliance in these categories.
- Act as a national SME for a major category and/or have the ability to extend SME responsibilities to the European scope.
Basic Qualifications:
- Mastery of computer tools, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), or experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Fluent in French and English (C1 level or higher).
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
- Relevant experience in a procurement environment.
- Qualifications and/or experience in sourcing, contract management, or equivalent role.
- Negotiation skills (internal and external).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain, commerce, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
- Experience in a matrix organization.
- Experience in resolving complex problems and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and management, or experience in team management.
- Strong autonomy and customer orientation.
