We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post-Surgical Unit at Lexington Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Our 94-bed hospital provides advanced services in orthopaedics, general surgery, ENT, stroke, and cancer care. Our outpatient expertise includes digestive health services, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation department, a diagnostic imaging center and wound care center,all supported by the resources of a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Educate patients and families about their care and provide emotional support during times of need.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred (required prior to completion of orientation).
  • Greater than 2 years of RN experience preferred.
