Description

We're seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at St. Peter Home Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. You will conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients affected by injury or disease.

You will utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards. You will document client information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them if necessary. You will educate clients and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards.
  • Document client information for evaluation, establish therapeutic plans, and modify them if necessary.
  • Educate clients and their family members about treatment plans and self-exercises to be continued at home.
  • Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients.
  • May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders.
  • Will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
