Description
TGR Haas F1 Team, a prominent Formula 1 team, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, delivery, security, and continuous improvement of its global networking estate.
The successful candidate will be the technical owner of Haas F1 Team's networking estate, ensuring its availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement. The role involves acting as the design authority and senior escalation point for networking, driving modernisation towards software-defined and automated networking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, delivery, security, and continuous improvement of the team's multicontinental networking estate
- Owning the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise networking across on-premises, cloud, and trackside environments
- Maintaining, optimising, and securing network and security infrastructure
- Embedding secure-by-design principles and security controls into all network architecture and changes
- Delivering network projects and improvements through to completion
- Providing 3rd line technical support and escalation for network incidents
- Defining and maintaining network engineering standards, deployment patterns, operational procedures, and technical documentation
- Driving modern engineering practices across the network estate
- Operating, supporting, and helping deliver wider infrastructure and platform services as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- A BSc, MIS or other IT-related qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- Over 7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a networking role
- Relevant IT, networking, and cyber/information security certifications
- Exposure to international, high-performance, or mission-critical environments
- Experience delivering complex work independently in high-performance environments
In terms of technical skills, the candidate should have:
- Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise networks
- Strong knowledge of enterprise firewalls, SD-WAN, and modern secure access architectures
- Solid understanding of network security principles, including zero-trust concepts and secure-by-design practices
- Strong knowledge of core network services and protocols
- Solid network monitoring and fault-diagnosis capability
