LPN Atrium Health One Health Lake Norman Family Medicine PT

We are seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Atrium Health One Health Lake Norman Family Medicine in Huntersville, North Carolina.

As an LPN, you will provide patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic according to established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care. Your major responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and rooming patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating health information
• Performing laboratory procedures, such as strep tests and wound cultures
• Assisting physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries
• Administering medications, including immunizations and pain medications
• Providing basic patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care
• Communicating with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Documenting and communicating accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions
• Performing advanced clinical tasks, such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, and EKGs
• Organizing and preparing exam rooms, labs, and work areas
• Participating in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which you practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding and electronic medical records systems
