Description
The Lifing Engineer will support the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives.
This role will manage Part Lifing information held within the company's Life Management System.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Part Lifing information held within the company's Life Management System
- Working across multiple factory and trackside teams to ensure the accuracy and concurrency of Part Lifing across product design, build and race activities
- Ensuring part lifing identification and limits are being set through the design process and reporting any non-conformances back into the Reliability and Design Engineers within the Design Department
- Building and maintaining the Part Lifing Structure within the Life Management System and keeping the structure concurrent with respect to changes needed pre, during and post events
Requirements include:
- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent
- Further education including University Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering desired
- Experience of working in a general mechanical engineering environment desired
- Prior experience in Formula One is advantageous
- Preferably 4 years of experience of Lifing Management within an Automotive or Aerospace environment
The successful candidate will be able to maintain calm and focus in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and handle setbacks and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
They will also be trusted to manage confidential information and sensitive team matters and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
The Lifing Engineer will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance.
They will also contribute ideas and feedback to improve processes and ways of working and participate in team initiatives, projects, or improvement activities.
Additional responsibilities include undertaking any other reasonable duties consistent with the level and purpose of the role, as assigned by the line manager.
