Description

Reddit is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Safety and Moderation organization. The successful candidate will work remotely in the United States and contribute to building tools that help moderators keep Reddit safe, healthy, and scalable.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on product and business strategy
  • Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Lead a team of engineers and set standards to improve developer workflows
  • Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software development experience in languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift, or gRPC basics
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
  • Strong organizational skills and entrepreneurial spirit

The base salary range for this position is: $217,000-$303,900 USD
