As a Software Developer, you will lead the design and development of platforms that enable operational teams to investigate and resolve issues more quickly and accurately. You will own complex technical problems end-to-end, working with large datasets and signals to build systems that support fraud detection and investigation workflows.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists and machine learning engineers to translate manual processes into scalable automated systems. You will also guide technical direction for key initiatives, ensuring systems are reliable, maintainable, and capable of supporting new products and operational needs as they grow.
This role is based in our Toronto, ON office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do
- Design and build scalable systems that process large datasets and generate insights to support fraud investigation and decision-making
- Lead the implementation of systems that automate manual review processes in partnership with data scientists and machine learning engineers
- Develop AI-based applications that improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of operational workflows
- Define technical approaches for complex projects, breaking them into clear milestones and delivering measurable outcomes
- Improve system reliability and development efficiency by identifying gaps and implementing structured solutions
What you bring
- Experience building and operating production systems that use large language models or similar AI technologies
- Design systems that manage model behavior and produce consistent, reliable outputs at scale
- Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and extracting insights from complex datasets
- Translate business processes into technical solutions with clear scope, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- Contribute to technical direction and support other engineers through design reviews or guidance on implementation approaches
