Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform, is seeking a Software Engineer - Infrastructure. You will design, develop, maintain, and support application programming interfaces (APIs), backend services, and distributed systems using Ruby, Java, Go, and Scala.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and support APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain software infrastructure to support large-scale production systems.
• Design and develop software systems using analytical techniques and mathematical models.
• Develop and execute software testing, validation, debugging, and documentation procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across multiple services and layers of the technology stack.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine technical feasibility, design approaches, and implementation timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement new features for large-scale systems.
• Design and build systems to securely store, manage, and modify production data and services.
• Improve engineering standards, development tools, and software development processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of software development experience.
• 2 years of experience in each of the following: developing software applications, working with programming languages (Ruby, Java, Scala, or Go), building backend or full-stack applications, designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and distributed systems, writing unit tests, and performing manual testing.

Salary: $156,800.00 – $235,200.00/yr
