Description
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Carlisle. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work alongside an experienced team of technicians to diagnose and repair plant equipment, reducing downtime and helping us achieve our goal of a circular economy. You will be responsible for carrying out plant upgrades and modifications, reporting work carried out through our computerised maintenance management system, and developing and implementing a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection. You will also be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods and liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance. Safety is our number one priority, so you will ensure H&S standards are strictly maintained and all related documentation is completed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience as a Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment. An HNC/HND/C+G in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential, and you will need to have knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes and Pneumatics.
This is a full-time role, working a 3 shift rotation: Monday to Friday - 6-2pm, 2-10pm and 10pm-6am. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times. The salary for this role is up to £45,711 per annum, depending on experience.
