Job Description

As the Life Sciences Industry Advisor at Anthropic, you will serve as the technical and scientific face of Claude to the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, contract research organizations, and research institutions.

You will combine deep life sciences domain expertise with technical credibility to help customers envision, architect, and realize transformational AI solutions across the drug discovery and development lifecycle , while building Anthropic's reputation as the trusted AI platform for one of the most rigorous and regulated industries in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Represent Anthropic's scientific and technical vision to the life sciences industry through conference keynotes, executive briefings, whitepapers, and scientific advisory boards.
  • Strategic Customer Engagement: Serve as executive technical sponsor for strategic life sciences accounts, engaging CSOs, CMOs, Heads of R&D, Chief Digital/Data Officers, and Heads of AI/Computational Science on enterprise AI strategy.
  • Product Partnership & Roadmap Influence: Translate customer requirements and competitive dynamics into product priorities.
  • Pricing & Commercial Strategy: Contribute to pricing and packaging decisions with life sciences market insight.
  • Internal Enablement & Advocacy: Train and uplift Anthropic's GTM teams on life sciences domain expertise, scientific workflows, use cases, and buyer personas.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Navigation: Partner internally and externally to develop thought leadership on AI governance frameworks aligned with FDA and EMA expectations.
  • Ecosystem Partnership: Build technical relationships with GSIs and life sciences consultancies, cloud providers, and life sciences platform/data vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have 20+ years of experience in scientific, technology, and/or business roles with at least 8 years in senior leadership positions in pharma, biotech, or a life sciences research organization.
  • Have deep domain expertise across one or more stages of the drug discovery and development lifecycle.
  • Have established executive networks across life sciences R&D and technology leadership.
  • Have deep knowledge of life sciences regulatory and quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience bringing generative AI or LLM-based products to enterprises in these industries.
  • Experience selling with and through cloud and ecosystem partners.
  • Familiarity with consumption- or usage-based commercial models and value-based pricing conversations.

The annual compensation range for this role is $450,000-$550,000 USD.
