Description

As a Technical Program Manager focused on technology to enable the Mission Autonomy Business Line, you will manage new technology development initiatives within the Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and customer-facing program portfolio. Overall, this work will be diverse in nature, spanning a variety of software technologies, and requiring you to be flexible to adapt to changing situations.

During all this, you must be able to successfully work with a wide variety of technical stakeholders, communicate plans clearly to all parties, and coordinate across teams to achieve the desired end state.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving scoping and execution of different initiatives that make up the Mission Autonomy business line.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, other program managers, chief engineers, test and evaluation, business operations, and finance to meet objectives.
  • Supporting the execution of functional engineering roadmaps to ensure they align with long-term strategic bets and program needs.
  • Leading execution of early-phase programs that have been won through the capture process. This will involve external customer relationship management.

Required qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • A technical career background.
  • Willingness to travel, with up to 70% travel required.
  • Deep familiarity with subsystems and knowledge of robotics systems that you have previously worked on.
  • Evidence of understanding technical tradeoffs and how to reduce risk through key development efforts.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, influencing engineering teams, and interacting with leadership stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, adept at conveying intricate plans and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Direct experience in leading product development related to or Unmanned Vehicle (UxV) development within the robotics sectors.
  • Knowledge of hardware + software development practices and best practices for autonomous robotics systems.
  • Startup experience: wearing different hats that go beyond the scope outlined in your job description.
