Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Ads team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing our ad products, including Discord Quests. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists to ensure that our ad products meet the needs of our users and business partners. Responsibilities: Embed within a product squad and partner with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists to oversee the user experience of a product from concept to launch Understand company and team goals focused on revenue generation through our unique ad product “Quests”, and drive concepts and decisions in service of reaching those goals and milestones Present your designs to the team and the greater organization to build consensus and drive alignment around your work Create wire-frames, beautiful mockups, amazing prototypes, and help implement your designs to pixel perfection Test, learn, and iterate on everything you do alongside partners Help maintain and commit to our Design pattern library Be an active, participatory member of the Discord Design team, and help foster a culture of design Requirements: 5+ years experience designing and shipping a web/app product for a variety of devices and platforms Direct experience in, or a strong passion for, combining business acumen, systems thinking, and design craft (while being mindful of Brand) to create compelling advertising experiences that serve our users as well as our publisher partners Been the design lead for a squad, feature, initiative, or end-to-end project and are comfortable making design decisions, leading discussion, and communicating out to the wider organization Strong product thinking and vision. You're more concerned with the "why" than the "how" Excited to dig into experiment data to help inform design iterations and whether something should ship High level of design craft, and are committed to maintaining a high bar for design implementation Expert level experience with Figma * Bonus points for experience or willingness to mentor other designers, building design systems, rich prototyping experience, casual or committed gamer, interface animation know-how, CSS, JavaScript, or React skills
