Description
The Chief Operating Officer will own the P&L across business units, setting targets and driving outcomes. They will build the operating system from scratch, including KPIs, scorecards, operating cadence, incentive structures, and process automations. The COO will direct management of department heads and senior operators, making hard calls on exits, restructures, and resets. They will partner with marketing and sales leadership on pipeline, conversion, and revenue operations, and hire and manage talent to build management depth.
The ideal candidate has verifiable P&L ownership, having grown revenue or improved margin during their tenure. They have operated across at least two domain families, built operating infrastructure from scratch, and made hard people decisions. The COO should have a DC DISC temperament, with high Dominance and Conscientiousness, and managed teams of 30+ with direct reports at VP/Director level.
This is a fast-paced, founder-led environment where the COO will have real authority and accountability. The founding team is commercially excellent but operationally under-resourced, and the COO will be free to drive outcomes and build something worth building.
