Staff Engineer, Application Engineering

You will be a Staff Engineer in Application Engineering at Synopsys, working on deploying and supporting EDA sign-off solutions for Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, EM/ESD/Thermal Reliability, and Chip-Package-System co-design at leading semiconductor companies.

You will collaborate with software developers, product architects, and product specialists to shape and refine EDA solutions built on the Seascape platform, translating real customer pain points into product requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical consultation and hands-on guidance to customers globally
• Building and maintaining TCL and Python automation scripts to streamline customer workflows
• Documenting technical findings and creating application notes
• Traveling occasionally to customer sites or Synopsys offices for critical engagements
• Staying current on emerging challenges at advanced nodes and working with the product team to ensure Synopsys solutions remain ahead of industry requirements

The impact you will have includes:

• Enabling customers to achieve sign-off closure on cutting-edge SoCs and 3DICs
• Directly influencing the development roadmap of Synopsys EDA tools
• Reducing time-to-tapeout for customers by identifying and resolving critical design issues

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, VLSI, or a closely related field
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Power Integrity, Signal Integrity, or Reliability sign-off
• Strong proficiency in TCL and Python scripting
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Experience working with EDA tools for sign-off analysis is a strong plus
