Job Title: Engineering Manager, Agentic Commerce

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Agentic Commerce team at Stripe. As an Engineering Manager, you will own the shaping and delivery of transformative products that redefine how commerce works, making it more fluid, automated, and aligned with user intent.

Responsibilities:

• Build full stack solutions across Stripe's ecosystem, including back end services, dashboard interfaces, money movement systems, and integrations with other Stripe primitives
• Partner deeply with product management and design to ship high impact features that increase user autonomy and reduce friction
• Strong analytical skills: comfort diving into data to test hypotheses and make informed trade-offs
• Collaborate cross-functionally across Stripe's broader platform and product teams to integrate agentic commerce capabilities seamlessly
• Engage directly with users (particularly large enterprises) to understand their business needs and translate requirements into novel product shapes

Requirements:

• 10+ years of engineering experience with a computer science background with hands on development expertise
• Proven experience coaching and developing senior and staff level individual contributors
• Demonstrated experience of leading initiatives that touch large engineering organizations, spanning multiple teams to influence tech roadmap planning and execution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, structuring ambiguous concepts clearly and from first principles
• Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
• Deep empathy for users balancing autonomy and guidance in digital commerce experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• Experience building APIs or new integration experiences for users, several of them being enterprise grade
• You've been on the found team of a business / startup, taking a product from 0-1
• Experience in eCommerce
• AI-native and very comfortable autonomously solving problems with agentic AI tools
