Description
We are seeking a Senior Weapons Integration Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary Mission Systems team. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for the technical execution and overall successful integration of weapons systems onto platforms.
Key responsibilities include leading or supporting efforts performing integration, verification and/or validation of weapon systems, developing program plans, estimates, and schedules, and developing system/architecture designs, performing system level analysis, and generating requirements.
You will also adjudicate conflicting design/development requirements with broader team, develop and present technical material for reviews and meetings, support lab, ground, and flight test events, and develop/maintain Interface Control Documents, Software Requirement Specifications, Performance Specifications, presentations and review test plans/procedures.
Additionally, you will coordinate and interface with customers, contractors, and engineering groups assigned to projects, support ongoing operation of the weapons system(s), provide support for proposals/white papers for future efforts or capabilities, provide direction to design and to technical staff, and work with and manage suppliers to develop and procure hardware.
Requirements include a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline, and progressive engineering experience. You should have familiarity with Air-to-Air/Air-to-Ground weapons, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and logical Interface Control Documents, experience integrating weapons, payloads, or avionics onto aircraft, and experience with weapon or tactical datalinks.
Preferred qualifications include strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, familiarity with Seek Eagle and Non-Nuclear Munitions Safety Board processes, project management experience, and software programming or embedded systems experience.
