Senior Software Engineer

Join Twilio's SMS Engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer to develop the future platform of communications. You will design, develop, test, and deploy features for the SMS connectivity layer using Java, ensuring availability, throughput, latency, and data integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features alongside an experienced team
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
• Manage work using Github, Jira, and build/deploy systems
• Write unit-, integration-, and load-tests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Qualifications:

• Experience with Java frameworks such as Dropwizard, Spring, Hibernate, or similar
• Experience with Cloud services (AWS preferred)
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Knowledge of processes and engineering best practices
• Readiness to participate in on-call rotation
• Strong communication skills
