Data Analyst, Financial Enablement

Job Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Financial Enablement team at Stripe. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in empowering our business stakeholders by providing critical insights, developing datasets, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, conduct research, and build visualizations that deliver objective, critical insights to fulfill team stakeholders' business needs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance & Strategy, Accounting, Product, Tax, User Billing, Seller System, and Sales Ops teams, to align on financial goals and drive revenue growth.
• Act as a data strategy partner for our business stakeholders.
• Reconcile complex datasets across complex finance systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects to identify and drive operational efficiencies that support our stakeholders' ability to run more efficiently and effectively.
• Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to help define product solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to improve team work efficiency.
• Conduct internal knowledge sharing sessions to strengthen the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM major (Computer Science, Math, Stat, Engineering, etc.) and 4+ years of prior working experience in data analysis fields.
• Strong analytical ability, proficiency with SQL (minimum of 3 years advanced SQL), and strong understanding of data relationships.
• Experience working with extremely large datasets.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Expertise working cross-functionally to drive business and operational goals.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Domain knowledge in Finance/Accounting/GTM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in fast-paced environments (e.g., high-growth fintech/tech company, management consulting).
• Experience working with PM, Engineers, GTM, Accounting Team, or Finance Team.
• Experience working with financial datasets.
• Experience with visualization tools.
• Experience with AI tools (Claude Code, Kai, etc.).
• Domain knowledge in FinTech Products.
• Qualification in Accounting/Finance or CPA/CFA certification.
