Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company's vision of a fully electric transportation future. You'll join an agile team of doers pioneering our EV future by working collaboratively, staying focused on only what matters, and delivering excellence day in and day out.

Responsibilities

Develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications.

Design, bring-up, characterise and troubleshoot traction inverters.

Design and validate circuit schematics and PCB layout.

Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.

Perform failure analysis.

Support design validation and end-of-line tests specifications.

Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organisation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

2+ years of experience in power electronics product development.

Hands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.

Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability.

Hands-on experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.

Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EMI troubleshooting.

Familiar with three phase inverters and motor control.

Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development.

Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.
