Job Overview

You'll join Carta's Contracts team, working with US lawyers and AI agents to deliver high-volume contract work. As a Senior Paralegal – Contracts, you'll process investment-related NDAs and transactional documents, ensuring prompt intake, first-round markup, and timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Keep contracts moving: own the prompt intake and first-round markup of investment-related NDAs and related documents
• Make the process more effective: support Carta's US lawyers with first-round drafting and ad hoc legal work
• Build workflows clients can rely on: set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution
• Hold the quality bar: deliver crisp, commercially sound contract support that reflects Carta's reputation for precision

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in transactional or corporate practice group, or in-house commercial legal team
• Hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
• Fast and precise under pressure: ability to context-switch between competing demands without letting quality slip
• Commercially and legally grounded: strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism
• Clear communicator: crisp and concise written and verbal communication
• Self-starter with a builder's mindset: takes ownership, spots inefficiencies, and looks for ways to improve team operations
• Familiarity with private markets: exposure to private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a strong plus

• Expected cash compensation range: $80,920 - $101,165 in Hamilton, NJ; $90,440 - $113,067 in Seattle, WA; $76,160 - $95,216 in Sandy, UT
