Consultant Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. As a Consultant Specialist, you will conduct application engineering as a full stack engineer, collaborate with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics and IT to deliver data-driven solutions on top of cloud platforms, and work with Tech Lead and other engineers to complete low-level design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct application engineering as a full stack engineer
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics and IT to deliver data-driven solutions on top of cloud platforms
• Work with Tech Lead and other engineers to complete low-level design
• Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering HSBC baseline cloud architecture
• Ensure DevSecOps capabilities are built in as part of the solution
• Ensure development is completed at a high standard and is aligned with IT governance and control frameworks

Requirements:

• Tenacious about doing things the right way and building efficient and 'brilliantly simple' business solutions
• Adept at working in customer-facing roles within enterprise environments, helping clients to capitalise on technology for their commercial benefit
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree is preferred
• GCP or AWS certified (GCP preferred)
• Excellent core Python skills
• Prompt engineering experience preferred
• Experiences in LLM application delivery, with strong understanding of popular LLM solutions in the market
• Experiences in LLM application agentic framework
• Sound understanding of Azure / Google Cloud platforms
• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Storage, Cloud Functions
• Experience in performing data analysis, on Databases (SQL, no-SQL, DBT)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Security (IAM, AD, ADLDS, roles, service accounts, entitlements)
• Events & Data Streaming: Data Proc, Pub-Sub, Confluent/Kafka
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently and under pressure
• Ability to communicate and explain complex ideas in both oral and written English
• Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Experience using GIT, Jira, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and Ansible
• Agile development, in particular Scrum/Kanban
• Experience in Banking and Financial Services with good understanding of the legal and compliance business
• Good communication (verbal written). Ability to explain complex ideas.
