System Software Engineer - Performance Lab

NVIDIA is seeking a System Software Engineer to join its Performance Lab team. You will craft and build outstanding software solutions that challenge NVIDIA products in new ways, focusing on AI, Graphics Rendering, and Datacenters.

Job Overview As a System Software Engineer in the Performance Lab, you will write and maintain containerized GPU-accelerated workloads for the financial services industry, including deep learning training and inference, portfolio optimization, and backtesting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain containerized GPU-accelerated workloads for financial services, including deep learning training and inference, portfolio optimization, and backtesting.
• Run, validate, and analyze benchmarking models at scale on HPC clusters.
• Visualize performance data, creating charts and dashboards using internal schemas and tooling.
• Collaborate with teams working on financial AI models and tooling to build reference models for NVIDIA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with Python and Linux command-line environments with version control.
• Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including training, evaluation, and inference.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PyTorch, GPU computing, or CUDA and libraries like cuOPT, CUTLASS, cuDNN.
• Knowledge of workload orchestration and job schedulers such as Kubernetes or Slurm.
• Experience with containerized applications and resource management.
• Background in quantitative finance and applying performance data to real-world problems.
