Description
We are a remote-first healthcare and technology company, seeking an experienced engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Platform Engineering team, you will play a role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure necessary to support Omada's mission.
You will become a key part of the development and operation of Omada's digital health program Architecture & Infrastructure. You will play a daily role building and scaling our platform one piece at a time, supporting our delivery of a personalized experience to program members, while empowering our health coaches to deliver effective interventions.
You will work closely (including pair programming) with the rest of the Platform team, collaborating frequently with internal customers from our product engineering teams, InfoSec, IT, and beyond. You will build cross-functional relationships with software engineers, data engineers, and technical program managers to understand their needs, and to deliver solutions to improve their working lives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage highly available services in our EKS clusters and on standalone EC2 hosts, with a modern approach to designing for resiliency and cross-regional redundancy
- Work with engineers to design and improve developer tooling and capability, supporting use cases like secrets management, automations, cloud environments, and access management
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members
- Maintain and enhance our self-hosted Gitlab-based VCS and CI/CD infrastructure
Requirements for this role:
- 5+ years of working experience designing and building diverse AWS cloud architectures
- Experience building and operating a Kubernetes cluster
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Experience working with Datadog application performance monitoring, custom metrics, and logs
- Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting persistent virtual Linux hosts and volumes
- Experience building, deploying, and orchestrating Docker images and containers
