Compensation
The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary range for this position is $240K - $252K, with additional compensation including equity, performance-related bonuses, and benefits.

About the Role
As Enterprise Sales Manager, Banking, you will build and lead a team of Account Directors focused on driving strategic growth across the world's largest banking institutions. You will be a hands-on front-line leader responsible for helping your team navigate complex enterprise sales cycles, deepen executive relationships, and drive adoption of OpenAI's platform across highly regulated banking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Account Directors focused on large enterprise banking institutions across North America.
- Create a strong coaching culture with frequent deal reviews, account strategy sessions, and structured 1:1s.
- Define and refine the GTM strategy for banking, including account prioritization and territory planning.
- Drive disciplined pipeline generation, forecasting accuracy, and operational rigor.
- Guide teams through highly consultative, multi-stakeholder opportunities.
- Help customers translate AI and API capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Lead teams selling into highly regulated environments with a deep understanding of banking-specific risk and governance considerations.
- Partner closely with Product, Solutions Architecture, and Finance to help customers deploy AI at enterprise scale.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of enterprise sales, GTM, or sales leadership experience, with significant experience leading teams selling into large banking or financial services organizations.
- Proven track record building and scaling enterprise sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the banking landscape and experience leading consultative, multi-product sales motions.
- Strong operational rigor and comfort managing forecasting, pipeline health, and performance management at scale.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with CIOs, CTOs, and line-of-business executives.
Skills & Experience
Non-Negotiables
- Proven experience leading enterprise sales teams focused on large banking or financial services customers.
- Strong understanding of regulated enterprise selling and navigating complex compliance, security, legal, and procurement processes.
- Track record building new GTM motions and helping organizations scale.
- Technical fluency across APIs, platform technologies, AI/ML concepts, and enterprise software architecture.
Strong Preferences
- Experience selling platform, cloud, infrastructure, or consumption-based technology solutions.
- Experience influencing product roadmap, pricing strategy, packaging, or enterprise commercial structures.
- Experience working with highly strategic global banking accounts and executive-level transformation initiatives.
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to AI, developer platforms, or emerging technology categories.
- Experience across both high-growth technology companies and scaled enterprise organizations.
- Familiarity with modern banking transformation priorities.
