Description
This role is for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who will support the medical and scientific objectives of AstraZeneca Rare Disease's products across the product life cycle. The MSL will be a field-based scientific expert who communicates accurate and applicable science to Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) within a geographic area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in haematology and nephrology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. They will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), identifying and facilitating collaboration opportunities with AstraZeneca Rare Disease, and providing relevant scientific information to other internal teams and functions.
The MSL will also be responsible for keeping current with scientific knowledge within assigned products and therapeutic areas, supporting scientific exchange of product/disease state with external stakeholders (HCPs) as needed, and demonstrating a strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols.
This is a home-based office role with travel requirements of approximately 70% of the time. The successful candidate will be required to live within the territory and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
