Description
We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer, Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure back-end services that power our mission-critical applications and systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing robust data models, databases, and data pipelines to support extensive data processing, analysis, and storage requirements
- Collaborating with front-end engineers, robotics engineers, and other stakeholders to define service requirements and ensure seamless integration of back-end components
- Optimizing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions for efficient data flow and application responsiveness
- Contributing to the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of distributed systems
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or physics, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing production-ready back-end software using languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or C++. You should also have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing various data storage solutions and building efficient data processing pipelines. Additionally, you should be able to learn complex systems quickly and effectively contribute to sophisticated, distributed back-end systems and codebases.
As a senior software engineer, you will work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our mission-critical operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our back-end services and systems, and you will collaborate with our front-end engineers, robotics engineers, and other stakeholders to define service requirements and ensure seamless integration of back-end components.
