Senior Composite Design Engineer

Prodrive is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to join their Engineering Vehicle Design group. The successful candidate will provide composite design expertise across various high-performance motorsport programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Design composite components for aerodynamic, body, and chassis systems.
• Collaborate with Structural Analysts to develop and optimize composite systems.
• Create concept designs and detailed engineering solutions meeting performance, weight, and cost targets.
• Deliver CAD assemblies and detailed designs within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Release parts and assembly structures onto Bills of Materials.
• Ensure accuracy and maintenance of Bills of Materials throughout the project lifecycle.
• Consider the commercial impact of design decisions on component manufacture and future Bill of Materials costs.
• Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Liaise with external suppliers and internal departments to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet program requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in a high-performance motorsport design environment.
• Proven expertise in designing composite components for aerodynamic, bodywork, and chassis systems.
• Strong understanding of composite design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent CAD skills, with Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience an advantage.
• Passion for motorsport, innovation, and engineering excellence.
